Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Policy
Sacana believes in dignity, fairness, and freedom from coercion in all working relationships. We take proactive steps to prevent exploitation.
Policy Statement
Sacana is committed to ensuring that no one working with or for us is subjected to conditions amounting to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, or any other form of exploitation.
Legal Context
This policy is issued in accordance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, fulfilling Sacana’s legal obligations as a transparent and accountable service provider.
Our Business and Risk Profile
Sacana operates a preventative wellbeing service with a low inherent risk profile but remains vigilant, especially regarding supply chain relationships involving subcontracting or recruitment.
Supplier Conduct and Ethical Standards
Suppliers must comply with human rights standards, pay workers fairly, prohibit bonded labour, and ensure freedom of movement and lawful contracts.
Risk Management and Due Diligence
We conduct due diligence before onboarding, include anti-slavery provisions in contracts, perform spot checks, maintain a whistleblowing framework, and escalate concerns quickly.
Training and Awareness
Mandatory modern slavery training is provided to all staff and Matrons, with additional training for managers involved in recruitment or supply chains.
Whistleblowing and Reporting
We encourage reporting of any concerns regarding exploitation. Reports are investigated thoroughly without retaliation against whistleblowers.
Monitoring and Review
This policy is reviewed annually, with updates based on legislation, good practice, and internal findings. A Modern Slavery Statement will be published when required.
